Kande Beach is on the Lake Shore half way between Nkhata Bay and Dwangwa in Malawi’s northern region. Local Public Transport stops on the main road 3 km from the Campsite. Try to arrive in the day time and follow the signs down to the beach, the local kids can be hired for a small fee to carry your bags and guide you. Lilongwe International Airport is 350 km from Kande, and if you require accommodation in Lilongwe upon arrival take a taxi from the airport and ask for Mabuya Camp (in Lilongwe Old Town) and they will direct you to us www.mabuyacamp.com taxis from either the airport or Mabuya can bring you direct to Kande in about 4-5 hours. Negotiate a price before setting off.
